Some reasons the Heat aren't high on Beasley include power forward isn't an immediate need and they desperately need a point guard next to Dwayne Wade. By not selecting Beasley the Heat would be looking into the future where they would attempt to sign power forward free agents, Carlos Boozer and Elton Brand, after next season. With Beasley on the team that would be tough to do and there won't be any attractive point guards available. Either way, the Heat will be interesting players come draft day.
