Monday College Basketball Lines

• North Carolina continues to struggle in ACC play after their 92-89 loss to No. 4 Wake Forest.

Draft Prospect Stat Lines:

Tyler Hansbrough- 35 min, 3-12 FGM/FGA, 11 Reb, 1 Blk, 1 TO, 17 points

Ty Lawson- 34 min, 4-12 FGM/FGA, 6 Reb, 5 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk, 4 TO, 9 points

Al-Farouq Aminu- 30 min, 3/8 FGM/FGA. 6 Reb, 4 Ast, 2 TO, 5 fouls, 9 points

None of these projected first round picks had a great game. Hansbrough didn't shoot well, but was able to get to the line repeatedly (11/13 FTM/FTA) which explained why Al-Farouq Aminu fouled out. Jeff Teague for Wake was the true star of the game scoring 34 points to go along with six rebounds and four assists.

• UNC fell to No. 6 in the polls while Wake Forest moved up to No. 3.


• No. 15 Marquette crawled back from a large second half deficit to beat No. 22 West Virginia.

Devin Ebanks- 32 min, 4-6 FGM/FGA, 3 Reb, 1 Ast, 1 TO, 8 points

Jerel McNeal- 40 min, 9-19 FGM/FGA, 7 Reb, 1 Ast, 6 TO, 26 points

McNeal had a poor shooting first half (along with the rest of the Golden Eagles) but scored 15 of his 26 in the second half to earn the win for Marquette.

• In another Big East battle (that will be said numerous times this season) No. 23 Louisville upset No. 18 Villanova.

Draft Prospect Stat Lines:

Samardo Samuels- 27 min, 6-8 FGM/FGA, 4 Reb, 5 TO, 15 points

Earl Clark- 33 min, 7-14 FGM/FGA, 11 Reb, 3 Ast, 3 TO, 16 points

Good shooting numbers for both Louisville forwards, but the turnovers help explain why Louisville blew two eleven-point leads. 11 rebounds for Clark is great considering he primarily plays on the perimeter.

• Los Angeles has been taken over Los Angeles, for now. They beat USC 64-60 on Sunday.

Demar DeRozan- 38 min, 6-8 FGM/FGA, 5 Reb, 5 TO, 15 points

Jrue Holiday- 32 min, 5-9 FGM/FGA, 4 Reb, 2 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Blk, 13 points

Darren Collison- 39 min, 6-9 FGM/FGA, 3 Reb, 6 Ast, 18 points

The Bruins had a well-balanced attack so neither Collison or Holiday needed to take many shots, but both shot efficiently and protected the ball (1 TO between them).

• Luke Harangody lead Notre Dame over Texas at the Maui Invitational with 29 points and 13 rebounds.


• Tyler Hansbrough returned from injury for No. 1 North Carolina as they routed Oregon on their way to the championship game at the Maui Invitational.


• No. 23 Kansas was upset by unranked Syracuse who were lead by 25 points from Jonny Flynn.
