Signs Point Away From Beasley for Miami

It has been rumored that the Miami Heat will look to trade the number 2 pick if Derrick Rose is selected first overall. Some reasons the Heat aren't high on Beasley include power forward isn't an immediate need and they desperately need a point guard next to Dwayne Wade. By not selecting Beasley the Heat would be looking into the future where they would attempt to sign power forward free agents, Carlos Boozer and Elton Brand, after next season. With Beasley on the team that would be tough to do and there won't be any attractive point guards available. Either way, the Heat will be interesting players come draft day.

Beasley Could Be the Next Barkley

Great article on Michael Beasley from the Miami Herald.  Beasley has drawn comparisons to Charles Barkley not only for his play on the court, but also for his candid demeanor.  Says Beasley, "I just turned 19 years old in January.  How mature do you want me to be?  I’m still a kid...  On the basketball side of things, I’m 30 years old.  Off the court, I don’t know how old y’all want me to be.  Do you want me to act 25? 30? 40?.  I’m 19.  I’m a kid.  I’m going to live my life. I’m going to mess up."
