Tuesday College Basketball Lines

• Big East play kicked off Monday night with a showdown between No. 2 UConn and No. 11 Georgetown. Georgetown came to play and never trailed in the game.

                   The game within the game was freshman Greg Monroe matching up against Hasheem Thabeet. Monroe is projected as the number 23 pick and Thabeet is the projected number 5 pick in next years draft (Mock Draft Round-up). Monroe finished with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists while Thabeet finished with 4 points, 7 rebounds and 7 blocks. Not a great game for either player, but Monroe didn't need to be the star of the team while UConn could have used more scoring from Thabeet.

• West Virginia made a statement with their blowout win over No. 13 Ohio State.


• ASU sophmore shooting guard James Harden isn't like most star players in college. His coaches have to tell him to shoot.
